I have been trying to find a tackle shop/fisher man i can be selling my flies to,i have advertised to nearly every fishing tackle site but it seems so impossible to get one, could anyone have another idea or any other way?
Fly fishing is a race quite different from the fisheries, which employ different tactics and different address.
Fly Tackle fishing is generally not suitable for, say, fishing for sharks and vice versa.
Fly fishing rods are different from other court. They are thinner and more flexible. Probably the most notable difference between rods and other fly rods is the lack of a Section butts. This omission is deliberate, giving their fishing rods look different, is designed to prevent interference with quality motion.
An important part of fly fishing is to answer the line. Unlike the traditional fishing UPS turned off when the weight of the temptation to take the start line, fly fishing is generally very low birth weight as the weight of the line to deploy its destination. For this reason, fly fishing line is much heavier than his counterpart in the normal fishing.
Compared with the traditional fishing reels, coil of fly fishing (a video of Centrepin) is a simple piece of tackle. Acting primarily as a storage device of the line who have few other duties. Earlier examples of fly reels had no drive mechanism, slow fish is simply "Palm hand ring. "In recent years, fly fishing reels have evolved a little, the mechanisms that use the disk, but still relatively simple devices.
Every fly fisherman has a successful range of artificial flies to attract their catch. The flies come in hundreds of varieties different. With colorful names like nymphs, Zonkers, Buzzers, Wooly Buggers and other exotic names can be confusing.
The flies are made of a variety of synthetic and natural materials, to name a few, hair, mylar and rubber. They are designed to look like and behavior of the destination of fish prey. This could be, as its name suggests, flies or anything else, such as feeding fish, such as worms, insects, plants, mammals, including birds and! Maggot acts the same way as bait in more traditional forms fishing. It is attached to a hook, which connects the fish when you make a move before the bait.
Flies are generally very affordable, flies individual costs 50p in the region â € "Â £ 2 (you can buy in bulk and make even cheaper). There are however a large number of people enjoying a great joy to make and their own fishing flies.
Another factor that may be overlooked flyfishing facing a garment. We are not blessed with the best time in the United Kingdom it is important that you feel comfortable for your time in the fisheries. If you leave your first day of fly fishing and shakes all day, chances are you Wona € ™ t want to return a set hot water proof clothing is of paramount importance.
You must also invest in a set of decent waders. Because of the limited distance cast weights at the end of the line, you often have to go a bit to achieve the targeted fish.
Are you a bass fisherman? If yes, then you probably know that the shad are a staple food for bass in many waterways. For this reason, shad fishing lures are a popular choice for many anglers to attract bass. So what is the perfect imitation Shad? There are many choices available when it is an imitation shad, but I think there are two main choices.
The shad fishing lures 2 (or types of fishing lures) are the two main varieties when it comes to baits that imitate shad and is what the article is about. The "perfect" Shad imitation comes from one of these varieties to fishing lures. The number one "perfect" fishing lure is probably impossible to determine and depends on the fisherman and the temperament of the bass themselves, but if there is only "perfect" imitation Shad he comes into these two varieties of bait fishing.
Soft Plastics - soft plastics, especially swim baits, lures are Shad very effective fishing. Usually, these baits are segmented soft plastic bait with a tail flying. Swimbaits are normally recovered fairly quickly, then stopped occasionally to let the bait sink into the strike zone. There Swimbaits that imitate shad and that other bait fish. On most waterways shad imitating Swimbaits are most effective. Shad YUM brand soft plastic imitations are effective Shad for bass fishing too. These soft plastic impregnated with scents that smell a bit like a live shad, making them more effective than traditional soft plastics.
Crank Baits - Crank baits have been imitating shad many years. Some of the most popular and effective Shad crank bait Bagley would include the G-force and the Rapala Shad Rap. These imitations are both great and shad are very effective for bass fishing. Typically crank baits have a lip at the front to allow the bait to "swim" at different depths when recovered. When it comes to fishing lures Shad other effective crank bait minnows Talon. This imitation shad is a sort of cross between a swim bait and a crank bait. In any case many crankbaits are effective Shad imitations.
The bottom line is that every angler bass grave must have effective lures Shad their fight against bag / box. The lower the bait more effective our friend imitate the shad will come from one of two varieties of fishing lures listed above. Both varieties produce Bass lure your own "perfect imitation, shad, which we hope will serve you during many years to come.

Used Fishing Rods What are the necessities for making a used fishing tackle retailer?
I'm going to try to start one of those "mom & pop" shops up for used fishing reels, rods, lures, sinkers, bobbers, etc. with some of my friends & family and was wondering what are all the necessities? I have a building for it. And am working on shelves, desks and such.
Your greatest challenge will be coming up with enough USED inventory to stock a shop sufficiently to the degree required from which customers will spend enough money to keep you in business. When you take into consideration how much money it will require just to keep the lights on and the heater fueled, to which you will have to add the expenses of insurance, business license, wages, etc. it starts out looking like their won't be enough inventory available to keep your customers coming back. Look at the general inventory in a regular sporting goods store....even a little hometown "mom & pop" shop and then try to imagine where you will come up with that much "used" equipment. You will have to buy a lot of it, and there goes UP the overhead and DOWN the profit margin. The idea sounds good. But in all practicality? It probably won't work. Where IS the most likely source for your very unique product line? You need to know the answer to that most important question before you start asking and answering all the others. Do a LOT of homework before you get too much time, effort, and money invested that may not find its way back again when the time comes to lock up the door for the last time. I do wish you a lot of luck though.

A fishing lure is an object that is attached to the end of a fishing line. Its purpose, as its name implies, is to attract fish through a combination of movement, vibration and color. Fish are attracted to the attraction and the attack that, in the process of prey on the hook in establishing the lure.
How it works
Fishing lures are widely used fishing gear. The lure is attached to the line Fishing with a knot. First, expelled into the water and then gradually recovered. The recovery process makes it seem as if the bait is alive and swimming. This attracts the attention of the fish are nearby.
History of fishing lures
Fishing lures can be traced back to ancient civilizations, where carved bone hooks and casting of bronze have been discovered. In fact, archaeological sites in China and Egypt have shown fishing poles, hooks and lines. In the nineteenth century, the manufacture of gear and bait was not the work of an individual craftsman, but something of interest to commercial manufacturers. Over the years, the art advanced, and after the Second World War, much technical progress has been fishing line and fishing lures. Soon, Fishing was both a hobby and a sport enjoyed by those who could afford it.
How many types of lures are there?
Fishing lures are available in a multitude of sizes, colors and types. Baits behave differently in water depending on the type of fish that are designed to trap. The most common types are the templates, spoons, plastic baits, plugs, spinners, spinnerbait, poppers and flies.
The materials used for fishing rods
Fishing baits can be metal, wood, cork and plastic, depending on the type of lure. Attracting makers rarely Once a must do everything, but specialize in a specific part of the attraction. Manufacturers as well as the need for the fans then set up the attraction after collecting all the necessary parts. Metal could be used to make fish hooks, wire, beads, blades, ball bearings, rings, ties, and spacers. Wood and cork are often used to make plugs. Plastic is also popular and is used to make plastic bait, in fact, almost all the decoys are wearing plastic attractions.
I use a decoy? An experienced fisherman will tell you that is not so much about the attraction (besides the right to use the right kind of fishing), but more on how the line. When used for fishing bait, it must continuously ejected and recovered line. This ensures that the attraction is moving in the water, giving the appearance of a moving fish or insects. The appeal will be totally ineffective if not moved in the water.

Fishing reels are an important part of your team. When you buy, you make an investment in a hobby and it will require little maintenance. You can simply leave the area when not in use and we hope to continue to act in the capacity to watch in the coming years. That will not happen. After tips for maintaining your fishing reels below will help ensure a long life for your reel.
Prevention problems with fishing reels
The main problem of fishing reels is that they simply can not clean any way due to the materials that compose them. For example, if you use a coil of aluminum that could corrode easily and is not what you want. However, titanium is very resistant to this problem, but the average fisherman can not really afford to buy these machines back to range. Even if you could, there are other parts of the coil that are not as strong.
One way to prevent you from having to deal with this problem is not to roll into the water unless absolutely necessary. , More contact with water in your reel has the better chance they be damaged. This is especially true if you soak in salted water. Also, if you are fishing from a boat that you want to protect the coil any of the spray back into the boat. The strength of aerosols can get water inside the coil and which is not good.
Cleaning Your Fishing Reels
After his return from a fishing trip, you should always make sure to thoroughly clean your reel. Be sure to use only water at low pressure to remove the tail and then if you can get rid of any excess water before reassembling. Do not insist water sitting in your reel. If you have a fishing trip in saltwater, then you'll want to be even deeper. You must remove the roller, all rub with soapy water, rinse and dry everything completely. Only when completely dry should start fishing reels together again. Make sure no salt crystals left anywhere on the reel, because they can be very destructive.
Maintenance their current fishing reels
Fishing reels should be well maintained course. If you are fishing in saltwater, then it even more critical because the salt can be as destructive. You'll want to spend time close to four times a year to really be something that the coil and cleaned with hot water. You also want to apply the new grease to the coil at that time.
How Good Fishing Reels
Of course, the best how to ensure your fishing reels are well care is given to conservation, but also to purchase high quality early in places like Sea Island Tackle.

Does anyone have any tackle and bait tips for walleye fishing in Northwest Ohio (Lake Erie)?
I've always been a firm believer in the age old "Erie Dearie" lure, but I'm curious to find out what other people out there bait there Erie Dearie's/similar lures with and also wanting to find out about some new lures, baits, and tips you could toss my way. Thanks everyone
As you said the Erie Dearie with a night crawler or large shiner work very well, Strangely though Lake Erie is about the only place I have fished these with great success. I guess you have attached them to bottom bouncers, right?
A pygmy lure is almost the same thing, and also works very well in Lake Erie also. Now I have caught walleye there on crankbaits also, one of our party on one trip I remember caught a large walleye on an orange colored rattle trap.
Hope this helps!

When it comes to trout fishing certain baits are more productive than others at certain times of the year. In this article I will outline which trout baits are most effective during which seasons, and some tips for using them. This information has been learned during more than 25 years of trout fishing from Pennsylvania to Alaska.
Are these baits the only trout baits that can be used during each season? Of course not, but they are the baits that have been the most successful in my experience. Use this information to your advantage and you will be a much more successful trout angler. I think it's important to point out that the best trout fishing tips in the world is to spend as much time on the water as you can. There is simply no substitute for experience.
With that being said, let's get down to business, shall we?
Spring Trout Fishing: The spring is when trout season begins in many areas of the United States. At this time of the year many times rivers and streams are running high and fast making fishing for trout quite difficult. The best trout bait when fishing for trout in the spring is probably salmon eggs. This is when many species of trout spawn, making eggs the perfect trout bait.
Summer Trout Fishing: The summer is the season when most anglers start thinking about trout fishing. Summer is a great time of year to throw small spinners and spoons. As the weather gets warmer and warmer, trout become more and more active, making small spinners and spoons the perfect trout bait. Varying the speed of your retrieve is a great tip to trigger strikes from hungry trout.
Fall Trout Fishing: The fall is the best (and most overlooked) time of the year to catch trout. While many anglers are thinking about football and hunting, serious trout fishermen are thinking about fishing for trout. This is also the best season for catching large trout. In my experience the best trout fishing bait for most seasons is the good old live worm, and this is especially true during fall trout fishing. A live worm rigged on a set of gang hooks and allowed to flow naturally through the current of your favorite trout river is an extremely effective technique.
Winter Trout Fishing: The winter is the most difficult season to catch trout, especially in really cold area's. As water temperatures cool to extreme temperatures trout become much less active, making then difficult to catch. During the winter season you want to downsize you bait, making maggots and meal worms a good trout bait choice. This is also a good time of the year to add scents to your bait in order to make your offering even more attractive.
These bait tips will make you a more effective trout angler during every season. Remember, these aren't the only baits that can be used during each season; they are simply a good place to start and the trout baits that have been most effective for me.

Your sea fishing tackle box is not just a box that holds your hooks, baits and lures. There are other important items that your tackle box should hold.
An essential piece of equipment that you must always have with you whenever you go out to the sea and fish is your sea fishing tackle box. Your sea fishing tackle box is the container in which you should store your fishing hooks, your baits and lures, and all the other small items that form part of your fishing gear.
Why is your sea fishing tackle box so important for your fishing trips? For one, it keeps all your equipment in one place, making it easier for you to find things whenever you need them. For another, a good tackle box will help protect your gear. Also, keeping all your gear in your tackle box will help prevent accidents stemming from misplaced gear.
But it is not just hooks, baits and lures that your sea fishing tackle box should contain. It should also contain tools that will help you maintain your gear, as well as other things that may be handy in case of emergencies. Perhaps the five most important things that your sea fishing tackle box should have are the following:
1. A utility knife. There are so many uses for a utility knife in any fishing trip. They can be used to cut lines, to clean out your catch, slice up bait or even open food cans. For your fishing trips, you can get a stainless steel knife that is sharp and rust-proof. You can also bring a Swiss Army knife, like the ones made famous by MacGyver.
2. A small file. A good file is handy for keeping your knife sharp, and you would always want to work with a sharp knife. You would also need to work with sharp fishing hooks, so you can use your file on them. As an alternative to a file, you can get yourself a Swiss Army knife that has a built-in file, a whetstone, or even a fingernail cutter that has a file.
3. Thin-nosed pliers. Thin-nosed pliers are also called needlenoses. A pair of pliers is a versatile and handy tool to have on a fishing trip. It can cut wires and pry hooks out of the fish’s mouth. You can even use it as a makeshift hammer.
4. Sunscreen. This is an absolute must when you go on a fishing trip. When you are fishing out there at sea, it is highly likely that you would be out in the sun for most of the day. You would need to protect your skin from UV exposure, and for that, you would need sunscreen.
5. A small first aid bag. If you do not have a separate first aid kit all ready, you should have a small pouch in your sea fishing tackle box. It should contain some aspirin, antacids, loperamides, rubbing alcohol or antiseptic, cotton balls and bandage.
Your sea fishing tackle box is more than just a compartmented box for storing your hooks, baits and lures. All the small equipment that you would need to add more convenience to your fishing trip should be in your sea fishing tackle box.

the best rod and reel combo you can buy is the Ugly Stick combo. it won't run you much and is darn near unbreakable. depending on the type of fish you are going for, the bait and lures will differ greatly. a good tacklebox is the Flipsider by Plano (I think).
panfish (i.e. small bass, bream, small catfish, perch, crappie, bluegill, etc.) lures and baits- any small shallow-diving crankbaits ( no more than 2 1/2 inches long), most any kind of worms (Louisiana pinks, catalpa worms, and red wigglers work best), leeches, minnow, jigs, Beetle Spins, Gulp! worms, and topwater lures like frogs and Jitterbugs.
bass lures and baits- any live bait will work fine, plastic worms, most topwater lures, spinnerbaits, jigs, crawfish, chatterbaits, crankbaits, and Gulp! worms.
catfish- worms, cutbait, dead minnow or shad, chicken liver, and shrimp.
remember, all these baits and lures WILL WORK according to the season and technique used. all baits and lures act differently on all of the variable conditions: weather patterns, the time (season and month) of year, what time you go fishing, where you are fishing, and your patience for them to start biting are all in play.
Fishing Tackle Lures

I would like to hear from anglers based on their personal experience. The guys on the television fishing shows have relationships with the tackle companies, so their opinions are modified by that. If you could rank the the lures you have had the most success with from best to worse. Also, please what state(s) or bodies of water is your experience and opinions based on. Thanks in advance.
Well, my answer can't be more generic, but it depends on a number of factors. You can use a Popper one day, and the next day at the same time, use the same Popper, and it won't work. These factors include but are not limited to water clarity, temperature of air and water, barometer, time of year, etc... I have put a link on here for you to check out this book. It's called the Bass fishing Matrix. I have not used it, but I plan to buy it when I get some extra money, sometime soon. It also has a guarantee so if you don't like it or it does not work you can get your money back. If you do buy it, e-mail me and let me know how it works for you.
